She is an alumnus of the prestigious Sir J.J. College of Architecture, affiliated to Mumbai University. She graduated in the year 2015 with a first class in B. Arch degree. She holds a Master of Urban Design Degree (M. Arch) from Mumbai University.
During her time in JJ COA, she was a part of the team, to have achieved the completion of documentation drawings of the heritage building of the college. These set of drawings were submitted in the Public Works Department, Mumbai and also exhibited in David Sasoon Library.
As a part of her Master’s in Pillai’s College of Architecture, she received the opportunity to intern in the Architecture and Engineering Dept. of Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC), Mumbai. The work she submitted involved urban mapping and analysis of the Anushaktinagar Township.
She has good experience of working in some well-established architecture firms around Mumbai like Ratan Batliboi Consultants Pvt. Ltd and Studio for Environment and Architecture to name a few. She has worked and contributed in diverse projects ranging from residential, institutional to hospitality industry.
Mitali has been in teaching since 2021, and thoroughly enjoying the experience. She intends to encourage the students to imbibe environmental and cultural sensitivity along with a problem solving attitude.
An avid traveller and photography enthusiast, she enjoys understanding and documenting the narratives and stories of any place. She attributes that her travels have proved to be her most valuable experiences as every place, design and expedition has a story to tell.
