She believe in Good Design which is sustainable in Nature & Great Design which is responsible with nature. She has a keen knowledge towards Sustainability, Green buildings & Alternative construction techniques.

She has wide range of experience in working with various corporates & architecture firms to name a few HCP Design Planning and Management Pvt Ltd, Ahmedabed, Equinox Pvt Ltd, Mumbai&SEED studio Mumbai.

During her time in CEPT, she was selected as a volunteer Architect for an organization in Ladakh named SECMOL (Students Environment Cultural Movement OF Ladakh) wherein she was called upon to demonstrate vernacular architecture techniques ofLadak. Under her supervision 50 students were mentored to explore & build a prototype in the school campus. She was associated in Ladakh for a span of 3 months wherein she experience an ecologicallysustainable lifestyle with the local ladakians in growing her own food, cooking her own food with the sun above her head & living a simple lifestyle.

At an early stage she had an amazing opportunity to work on ecofriendly& Sustainable Green Building projects. She has worked on various Green building Certification Rating systems like USGBC- LEED, IGBC, GRIHA on some renowned projects developed by Raheja, Hiranandani, Ekta World, RNA Crop &Rustomjee to name some few.

She has also involved in designing of some of the nationally renowned projects like. IIT Gandhinagar& Sabarmati River front development. Recently she had been associated with PEC Greening India, a Green building & Integrated Sustainable Management organization. Where in her key role was as a Project Architect & Sustainable Design Advisory. On this role she had been involve in designing and working on various smart city development project like GIFT city, Ahmedabed, RakshShakati University,Ahmedabed (Dreamed project of Honorable Shri. Narendra Modi) and was also involved in preparing Smart city mission guidelines for 400 acres Renaissance Smart city Township project.

Mellissa has also developed skills of writing & presenting research papers at various conferences like 17th International Conference on Humane Habitat hosted by Rizvi College of Architecture @ Mumbai, with the title “Sustainable Architecture - Earth as a Building Material”. &"Women In Architecture" in the WIA conference in New Delhi, 2015 conducted by SPA, Delhi. Also she was a speaker at International Green Building Congress 2015 Organized at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat under the Launching Rating of IGBC Green Residential Society Rating System to present on the topic “Best Green Practices in Housing Societies”.

She believes in Architecture which could be taught with creativity & to any person who believes in it, hence recently she has also started training for students & local villagers under the tittle Green eye- cause for sustainability & Green Hammer welfare foundation. Wherein she conducts training programs for hands on experience in Alternative Building Materials & Technologieswith an aim to help and generate communities and people who are willing to walk the path of Green environmental revolution.

He has been active participant in various Architectural Design Competitions and has participated in various Conventions.

He has served at the post of President for Zone-2 of “National Association of Students of Architecture (NASA India) ” for two consecutive years from 2013-2015.

During his mentorship for Architecture and Interior Design Students he has found a special niche in the arena of Technical Subjects. His personal interest in participation in co curricular activities has helped in inspiring and mentoring students towards participating in various Competitions and work of Architectural Research Analysis and Documentation

Being a traveler by instinct, he believes in the power of learning Architecture through remarkable experiences gathered while travelling to different places and observing the Art, Architecture, Culture and Regional adaptations.

Holds First Class in degree course and working as a professional Architect for over a decade on variety of prestigious projects with renowned Architects in the city.

He strongly believes in hard work, dedication and honesty which needs to be percolated in professional as well as academic work.

Quality education is a right of every student and its duty of as guide to help them to achieve it.

He holds the goal to reach a level up where young architects passing out from the institute would feel confident enough to have a successful professional life ahead

He graduated in the year 2012 from Mumbai University, since then has been practicing as an Architect at SGC Design firm (Landscape design firm) and then later into Design Cell (Landscape design firm).He has successfully completed a pocket park, a school landscape project & a terrace landscape project.

He is greatly influenced by Roberto Burle Marx (Brazilian Landscape Architect), who’s designs of parks & gardens have inspired him to have an artistic approach towards designing open spaces. He intends to do Masters in Landscape & sophistically use his native bond with the nature, through open space planning projects & also imbibe the importance of landscape in academics as well.

He is an ardent lover of Art and also a professional artist & has completed three group shows. He feels Art has a very unique way of Expression in designs &as a process itself. Blending of Art with Architecture is the aspect that instills curiosity in him.

During his associations with various NGO, he got a chance to fruitfully execute his Public art concepts into Public spaces like Borivali Railway station Graphical beautification project &Dahisar Riverfront wall beautification project along with few public walls at Santacruz&Goregaon as well. The intent of such projects according to him is to imbibe Art amongst the commonest of people & make them educate about social issues through art on walls.

He believes in cultivating design thinking and also involve class discussions to cultivate student’s curiosity with help of Interactive models of writing, sketching, drawing, making models, creating art etc. to construct multiple knowledge paths.

He also believes in making students work through community participation for NGO Projects to apply there service to society from there learning days itself.
